Daikon Radish

I bought a daikon radish the other day.  I was at the produce market at the corner of Sutherland & Hollywood when I happened upon it.  I have no idea what to do with a daikon radish, and Nathan seems highly suspect of it.  It’s just sitting in our veggie drawer waiting for me to make a decision.  I tried to look up some recipes, but they all have it as a garnish.  That’s a lot of garnish!  Any suggestions?

  1. KIMCHEE!! check 101cookbooks.com , or do a google search for daikon and foodblog, i seem to remember some cook daikon recipes in the last few months.

    you could always pickle it and use it in onegiri

  2. Slice thin raw daikon on salads. Also good chopped small in tuna fish. Yum! 🙂
