Happy VDay! ;)

Happy VDay! 😉
Current mood:  cheerful

We’re under contract!  I can’t wait to buy this house.  Here’s a photo:

and here’s the kitchen:

And the living room has a fireplace (in the right corner of the photo) that is lighswitch activated.  It’s kind of silly, but fun at the same time.

Here is the back.  We’re going to add more deck space and some vegetable gardens and a dog.  🙂

Anyway, I can’t wait to move to Knoxville.  I’m so excited to see how many people we know there.  Plus, this house would cost 2-3 times as much in Atlanta!  It’s in Powell and is only about 6 miles from town.  Or at least 6 mile from the Tomato Head which is my current favorite Knoxville eatery.  Their vegan chocolate cookies are super awesome, and I’m not even vegan!  We have many plans for the house.  We’re going to redo the kitchen and the bathrooms and that silly light-switch fireplace.  The back will have a fabulous deck system and there will be a screened in part somewhere.  Eventually it will be done.  We’re going to put a work shop in the garage and build the majority of our furniture.  It’s all very exciting.  The closing is in about 4 weeks and we should be all moved by the end of March.  I can’t wait!  We’ll definitely have to have some sort of shindig once we’re all moved in.

Also, for all you Atlanta folks.  We’ve set a date for our big yard sale blow out!  March 9-12 (that’s Thurs-Sun) is it!  Now, I know most of you have jobs that keep you busy during the week, so if you want to come by and do some pre-shopping before then, feel free.  Although, most of the stuff is from our college days, I do have a washer and dryer that we’re thinking of getting rid of and some really great vintage desks.  There is some good stuff, but there’s also some real yardsale worthy junk.  And whether you want to get your hands on our junk or not, come visit anyway.  It’ll be fun!  🙂

Oh, and for you folks who knew I was a big dork, I’ve set up a webpage at theknot.com so you can keep up on our wedding plans (when we have some).  Right now it’s just who we are and how we met, but once there are actual plans, I’ll put them up there.
